I have played in many bands and there are certain songs that slightly drunk people absolutely go nuts for and “Nothing but a good time” by Poison is one of them. It is also a great song for beginner or intermediate guitar players to learn and add to the their arsenal. It is a very easy song, there is really only 3 chords to it. Sure some of the riff is at the 12thfret but don’t let that scare you off. It is still just an A chord with some riffing and then a G chord and a D and then back to an A.
Until I get set up better for video, I am a slave to YouTube for visual lessons, which isn’t a bad way to learn guitar if you have some guidance, and that is what I am for. This kid playing the song, does a fine job of just showing you how to play it but as most guitarist go, he is no instructor. About half of time you can’t even see his left hand, which is a mortal crime in the guitar lessons market. But that doesn’t mean that there isn’t something to be learned from this.
Like I mentioned earlier, this is an easy song and please do not get nervous about the 12th fret thing. I have been around great guitar players that are scared to death of sliding their hand up the neck. I played guitar with a girl from Brazil once, that I believe was a better guitar player than me but she never moved her hand from the first position or at least past the 5th fret. So, she thought I was a master because I would play all over the neck and she didn’t. The lick in this song is easy, so just watch what this kid plays in and you will have one of the best party songs on your list that has ever been written.

Excellent topics, I like this. After long searching I found this online that, the Guitar Tricks Core Learning System is our third-generation guitar lesson system geared toward the first-time student and those returning to guitar after some time. You can learn all of them only 5 days.
