5 of the Best Guitars for Beginners

Anyone who’s decided to start playing the guitar and has begun to look at the guitars available will know that it can initially seem like an impossible task. The first rule should be to set a price limit – the last thing you want is to spend hundreds of pounds only to realise that you’re not as interested in playing the guitar as you first thought! Once you’ve also decided whether you want to play electric or acoustic guitar you’ll be well on your way to picking a great guitar.
Nylon string guitars, often known as classical or Spanish guitars are perfect for beginners because the strings are softer than those on many other guitars and they come in sizes suitable for children or adults. A Jose Ferrer model is a good place to start. Many adults may prefer to play a steel string or acoustic guitar. These are more usually played with a plectrum. The great thing about playing the guitar is that since they’re portable you can play (or practice) anywhere. Additionally, because there are so many different types and model of guitar there is something for everybody. These five guitars are a great starting point for beginners to consider, but as there are so many available you should spend some time finding one that will help you learn to play to the best of your ability.
